Fun Yarn Weaving Camp

Join us for a hands-on, creativity-filled weaving camp where kids explore yarn, texture, and pattern through playful projects that grow in complexity each day. This camp is designed to build confidence, focus, and creative problem-solving.

Over four days, children will move from simple weaving techniques to imaginative, character-based creations, ending the week with functional and expressive artwork they’ll be proud to take home.

What We’ll Explore

Day 1: Stick Weaving – Learning the Basics

Kids begin with easy stick weaving to understand the over-and-under rhythm, color choices, and tension control. A perfect introduction with quick, confidence-boosting results.

Day 2: Circular Weaving – Weaving in Motion

Next, we explore circular weaving using simple looms. Children experiment with patterns, color transitions, and filling space while creating sun, mandala, or rainbow-inspired designs.

Day 3: Loom Weaving – Art with Purpose

Kids create a flat woven panel using a simple loom. These woven pieces will be stitched into a small pouch or bag, helping children see how art can become something useful.

Day 4: Character Weaving – Bringing Yarn to Life

To wrap up the week, children transform weaving into playful characters using yarn, felt, and mixed materials. This day encourages storytelling, imagination, and personal expression.
