What We’ll Explore Each Day
🌿 Day 1: Nature Explorers
We begin camp by stepping into the role of observers and collectors.
CHLOROPHYLL PAINTING // Campers discover the natural pigment inside leaves by gently pressing and rubbing them onto paper to release their green color.
This hands-on activity introduces children to the idea that plants make their own color — and lets them create beautiful, earthy prints directly from nature.
NATURE PAINT BRUSHES // Using sticks, leaves, grass, and found materials, campers create their own handmade brushes and experiment with mark-making.
NATURE CRYSTALS // Children grow sparkling crystal formations on natural objects — blending science and art in a magical way.
Skills woven in: observation, experimentation, texture and sensory exploration, patience.
🌸 Day 2: Bloom Studio
A full day inspired by flowers, color, and transformation.
COFFEE FILTER FLOWERS // Exploring color blending and watercolor diffusion.
BLOOMING FLOWER SCIENCE // A hands-on activity where children make their own paper flowers “bloom” in water.
PRESSED FLOWER CREATION // Designing delicate artwork using real pressed flowers — exploring symmetry, placement, and balance.
Skills woven in: color theory, fine motor control, design thinking.
🐞 Day 3: Creature Lab
A day for curious minds and imaginative builders.
WALL-CLIMBING GECKOS // Children design geckos that actually climb — introducing simple mechanics and problem-solving.
BUILD-YOUR-OWN BUG // An open-ended creative challenge where campers invent their own original insect species.
How many legs? Wings? Antennae? Spots?
Skills woven in: engineering basics, creative confidence, spatial thinking.
🦋 Day 4: Wings & Movement
We explore flight, balance, and motion.
FLAPPING BUTTERFLY // A moving art piece that brings wings to life.
HOVERING ARTIST DRAGONFLY // A project focused on balance, suspension, and lightness. Kids create a jittery Dragonfly that can paint :)
Skills woven in: symmetry, coordination, kinetic art concepts.
🐦 Day 5: Birds & Nests
A calm, thoughtful day focused on building and care.
HAND-PERCHING BIRDS // Children create birds designed to gently “sit” on their hands — combining balance and imaginative play.
BUILD YOUR OWN NEST // Using natural and textured materials, campers construct a nest and explore structure and stability.
Skills woven in: design, patience, structural thinking, storytelling.

Fun Yarn Weaving Camp
Join us for a hands-on, creativity-filled weaving camp where kids explore yarn, texture, and pattern through playful projects that grow in complexity each day. This camp is designed to build confidence, focus, and creative problem-solving.
Over four days, children will move from simple weaving techniques to imaginative, character-based creations, ending the week with functional and expressive artwork they’ll be proud to take home.
What We’ll Explore
Day 1: Stick Weaving – Learning the Basics
Kids begin with easy stick weaving to understand the over-and-under rhythm, color choices, and tension control. A perfect introduction with quick, confidence-boosting results.
Day 2: Circular Weaving – Weaving in Motion
Next, we explore circular weaving using simple looms. Children experiment with patterns, color transitions, and filling space while creating sun, mandala, or rainbow-inspired designs.
Day 3: Loom Weaving – Art with Purpose
Kids create a flat woven panel using a simple loom. These woven pieces will be stitched into a small pouch or bag, helping children see how art can become something useful.
Day 4: Character Weaving – Bringing Yarn to Life
To wrap up the week, children transform weaving into playful characters using yarn, felt, and mixed materials. This day encourages storytelling, imagination, and personal expression.
